Transnational Meeting held in June 28, 2016, Ankara, Turkey

Project’s last transnational meeting was organized on 28 June 2016 at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey.

As the last meeting it was dedicated to project management issues such as reports and documentation of activities, costs, and dissemination initiatives as well as discussions about intellectual outputs which needs to be completed. A “to do list” along with deadlines was created and agreed. A brief evaluation of Final Event was also took place.

Tutorial on ANIMOTO

A video tutorial to explain how to prepare video content by using ANIMOTO was prepared by Non-formal Training Department for Adults and Youth of Radviliškis Educational and Sport on Udemy Platform (www.udemy.com/draft/884176/). It was mainly created to help librarians and teachers who participated in the face-to-face initial trainings. The main idea was helping them to publish library events in an attractive way.

Onsite Training and Consultation for School Librarians, Radviliskis, Lithuania

Following the in-service training programs on social media tools, onsite individual training and consultation provided by Non-formal Training Department for Adults and Youths of Radviliškis District Municipality Educational and Sport Service Centre, for school librarians in order to help them to develop the new services they designed. Between November 2015 to May 2016, trainers Arvydas Kavaliauskas and Egidijus Dailidonis visited five school libraries and helped librarians in Radviliskis district to establish their social media based services.

Bookface Competition at Radviliškis Gražina’s Primary School (Lithuania)

The goal was to improve schoolchildren, teachers and librarians’ use of smart ICT competences;

Objectives were:

  • to organize a digital exhibition and choose the best bookface at school
  • to attract schoolchildren to participate in the school library’s events;
  • encourage school community to use social media and smart ICT tools for educational purposes to satisfy present generations’ needs.

Egidijus Dailidonis (the trainer) was the leader of this activity, He provided the librarians, pupils and teachers with the necessary training for the use of smart ICT and social media tools. About 30 pupils and teachers participated in this competition. Teachers and pupils took photos for the exhibition of bookface, uploaded on facebook, vote for the best bookface and the best bookfaces were printed as posters which are now exhibited at the school library.

Transnational Meeting & Workshop, held in February 22-26, 2016, A Coruña, Spain

Project’s fifth transnational meeting was organized between 22-26 February 2016, in A Coruña, Spain.

First day was dedicated to project management issues such as reports and documentation of activities, costs, and dissemination initiatives as well as discussions about intellectual outputs which were already completed.
