Xlibris Methodology tested at Warsaw University on 18-19 January 2016. Ten university librarians participated in the workshops to learn about Xlibris Methodology for service co-design. Developing new literacy skills was the main focus of the workshop. Xlibris Methodology was discussed in detail for possible use in further strategic partnership project applications.

Eco-Library Webinar, organized by Varna Public Library in November 11, 2015
On November 11th, Public Library – Varna organized a webinar called ‘Eco-Library’ as a part of the X-Libris project activities. More than 25 participants from small libraries and different organizations from Bulgaria attended to the event (see the list). The webinar ‘Eco-Library’ is one of the 5 Smart ICT services developed at Varna meeting in July 2015.During the webinar there was a training session explains ‘How to promote libraries in Pinterest’. A presentation giving some ideas how to use Pinterest, how to create a board and how it can be used for libraries needs was given. An example: a board presenting some herbs from Varna region was shown.
The presentation raised a lot of question which turns into a discussion. A challenge to the participants was given – to created at least one board and present it at the next webinar in 3 weeks. The whole duration of the webinar was 1.5 h.
Workshop, organized in October 26, 28, 29, 2015, Radviliskis, Lithuania
A three days training was organized by Radviliškis District Municipality Educational and Sport Service Centre for primary and secondary school teachers in the same district. Seventeen teachers from different branches participated in the workshops. The aim of the training was to encourage teachers to use social media tools (smart ICT 3.0) in their classes to create new learning spaces. Participants have been introduced a wide range of tools and platforms, they have explored how these tools can be used for educational purposes. Best practices were also demonstrated.

A workshop titled Go Green and Keep the Earth Clean was organized on the green libraries theme at the ECIL2015 Conference (Abstracts). ECIL2015 held between 19-22 October 2015, at Tallinn University in Tallinn, Estonia. The workshop is organized on 22nd October (http://ecil2015.ilconf.org/documents/ecil2015_final_programme.pdf). Workshops, organized in October 14-15, 2015, Paris, France
Series of workshops were organized for the students of information and communication sciences at Paris Descartes University, Paris, France between 14-15 October 2015. Each workshop lasted for three hours and focused on different themes such as branding, greening, redesigning library services. Presentation at a National Round Table, 13 October 2015, Sofia, Bulgaria
A National round table under the theme ‘Information Literacy in a Digital Age – Where are We?’ was held on 13 October 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria. More than 60 librarians from different public and university libraries attended to the event. Emil Demirev presented X-Libris project talking about the possibility to develop new library services using X-Libris methodology in the context of the information literacy. The event was organized by Bulgarian Library and Information Association.

Transnational Meeting & Workshop, held in July 27-31, 2015, Varna, Bulgaria
Project’s fourth transnational meeting was organized between 27-31 July 2015, in Varna, Bulgaria. All partner institutions were represented in the meeting. First day (27th July) was dedicated to project management issues such as preperation and submission of the mid-term project report, updates on website, tasks and outputs completed so far, new library services developed in Turkey, Lithuania and Germany, as well as dissemination activities. Bookface Exhibition, June 29-30, 2015, Istanbul, Turkey
A Bookface branding campaign within gamification approached launched during the second day of the Istanbul Workshop at Kadir Has University Information Center. An exhibition on Bookface has also launched.
Shelfie Exhibition, June 29-30, 2015, Istanbul, Turkey
Our second Shelfie Exhibition opened its doors on 29th of June at Kadir Has University Information Center. Based on the request from library director it will remain open for couple of weeks.
Workshop, organized in June 29-30, 2015, Istanbul, Turkey
A two days workshop was organized at Kadir Has University Information Centre in Istanbul between 29-30 June 2015. First day was on Branding for Libraries and 13 librarians from several libraries in Istanbul participated in this workshop. Following a prsesntation on branding participants work on branding services they could develop based on X-Libris Methodology. Second day was on Game Design in Social Media. 14 librarains participated to this workshop. Participants trained about gamification and some tools such as istopmotion and they developed some games which can be played in libraries to atract and train users.
Both workshops were designed based on actual training needs of librarians which explored during Ankara Workshop in February. Total 16 librarians were trained (11 participated in both workshops).
