Bulgarian Library Association’s Annual Conference is organized on 4-5 June in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Expected number of participants is about 150 from all around Bulgaria. At this Conference, X-Libris project will be presented in details.

Workshop on Branding for Libraries, May 26-29, 2015, Paris, France
Within the project a workshop on branding for libraries is planned. Our workshop proposal titled as New Opportunities, New Behaivours, New Consumers is accepted by the review committee of QQML2015 (7th International Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries). QQML2015 Conference will be held on 26-29 May 2015, in Paris, France.
In this two hours workshop participants will learn about branding, how libraries can use branding, what tools are available and how to evaluate the metrics. This workshop is one of the outcomes of the project. It is a training service for librarians.
Presentation at a Regional Conference, May 11, 2015, Varna, Bulgaria
On 11th May there is a Conference on Lifelong Learning Experience organized in Varna Region, expected number of participants of which is about 120. X-Libris project will be presented in this Conference.
Transnational Meeting & Workshop, March 2-6, 2015, Radviliskis, Lithuania
Project’s second transnational meeting is organized on 2-6 March 2015, at Radviliskis District Municipality Educational and Sport Service Centre in Radviliskis, Lithuania. All partner institutions were represented in the meeting. First day is dedicated to project management issues such as the first internal reports, declaration and documentation of activities and costs, dissemination activities. All partners made presentations about their activities. Future activities were planned. A presentation was made about Ankara Workshop, its outcomes and lessons learned.
Following days were dedicated to workshops. A two days workshop (3-4 March) run with school librarians from the district which is followed by another two days (5-6 March) workshop run with teachers and students. The role of school libraries, and how social media could be used in the libraries were explored by the use of X-Libris methodologies.
As an outcome participants proposed five new services.

SHELFIE Instagram Competition
Within the scope of X-LIBRIS Project, an international Shelfie Competition is organized and announced worldwide. Participants are expected to make their shelfie, selfie in front of library shelves and upload them to the Instagram. They are expected to upload their photos along with a message associated with their emotions and thoughts towards libraries. Submissions will be evaluated by a team of experts. Selected photos along with the messages will be displayed at the exhibition during QQML 2015 Conference on 26-29 May 2015 in Paris and also at Kadir Has Information Center in Istanbul. The exhibition in Istanbul will open its doors on June 29, 2015.

Varna Webinar, February 18, 2015
A Webinar (Web-based seminar) organized by Varna Public Library in Bulgaria on February 18, 2015. Librarians from libraries in Varna region were invited to participate. Altogether 44 librarians participated in the Webinar from all over Bulgaria. In this Webinar, partners, aims and activities of X-Libris Project as well as prospective innovative library services and other expected results were addressed. With the help of the interactive nature of Webinar, a Questions & Answers session was organized in the end. The total duration of the event was 1.5 hours
Workshop, February 5-6, 2015, Ankara, Turkey
A two days workshop the main aim of which is to explore how to use smart ICT in designing both user education services and in-service training for librarians was organized in Ankara between 5-6 February 2015. With these aim, 6 librarians and 7 future librarians (LIS students) are invited to participate in the workshop which was held at the seminar room of Department of Information Management of Hacettepe University. 3 faculty were also participated in the workshop. In this workshop, participants were provided with first hand experience on how to explore users’ needs by the use of innovative methodologies such Lego® Serious Play®, Hero’s Journey, Gamification, Business Model YOU® , Storytelling, Crowdfunding and Design Thinking to be able to design user-centred services. As an outcome participants prototype five new services.

Xlibris SMART ICT for libraries
